The Jackson Alabama Police Department’s Citizen’s Police Academy is a program designed to educate and involve community members in the daily operations of law enforcement.

The academy is a multi-week session that provides participants with an understanding of different areas in law enforcement, including criminal law, patrol procedures, investigations, and more.

The academy allows citizens to interact and learn from members of the police department, building relationships and trust between the community and law enforcement.

Participants also have the opportunity to learn about different specialized units within the department, such as K-9 and SWAT, and engage in interactive activities such as simulated traffic stops and crime scene investigations.

Overall, the Citizen’s Police Academy helps to build stronger relationships between the community and law enforcement, leading to a safer and more connected city.
